After the hull was stripped and
cleaned a plan was made to provide the hull with both strength and
integrity by; |
1. Increasing the hull and stringer thickness
|
2. Adding a foam core to the hull where possible
|
3. Making all bulkheads
part of the reinforcing structure. (Some small bulkheads were added for
further increase structural integrity.

Note: The superstructure uses a vacuum bagged airex foam core construction system so that when the decks and cabins are added to the hull, further increases in hull integrity are achieved. (The hull, when combined with the superstructure, forms a cylinder with all the inherit strength created by this shape) |

The hull was reinforced with two layers of mat/roving/mat. The stringers were also strengthened with two layers of mat/roving/mat. |
