Fabrication
Cutting and Assembly of pipe
Fabrication of flex joint and exhaust pipe to muffler. Connection  to the yellow elbow  was fabricated. Balance of system is made of stock Donaldson parts available from heavy truck parts departmentsFabricated part is made using a 3.5 inch 90 degree elbow cut to the correct angle and welded to a flange. Elbows were then then cut for flex pipe insert

In 2021 this flex pipe was replaced with a welded version
 Combination vent and exhaust pipe
Made using  6' exhaust  pipe and 3.5" exhaust pipe

Exhaust Pyrometer Guage Part # ISSPRO #R611,
Senor Part# 658 and wire lead 14' R660-14




ABS pipe is for testing and aligning connection between 6 inch and 3.5 inch Part # Dn-P206335 pipes. Stock 3.5 inch stack is in background - bend was cut at left of yellow tape on 3.5 inch stack.Venturi vent fabrication detail.
Joint between two sections of vent made with 2 by 5 inch cut of aluminum pipe.

Removing stack for
transportation or repair
  1. Remove  forward upper panel of vent from wheel house side

  2. Remove aft upper panel from aft cabin side (Note: this panel is heavy - when handling watch head liner)

  3. Remove fiberglass cover from back of funnel

  4. Undo bolts and remove upper flat pipe clamp (replace with a new flat camp)

  5. From wheel house side,  loosen turnbuckles and disconnect from vent eyes and upper bracket

  6. Loosen then disconnect stack from "stub" pipe on muffler"

  7. Lift entire assembly from upper deck out through funnel  (Note: take care not to "jab" insulation with bracket and u bolts - damage to insulation can be repaired with fiberglass reinforced aluminum tape)
