Mock up of port diesel fuel tank was made to make sure it would fit  the space

Mock up of port  tank in place 



Start of  mold. (bottom up)

Mold is made of melamine, arborite , plasticine and lots of wax

Arborite added and held in place with blocks while adhesive is drying

Corners with radius and strips to form slots for baffles



Mold filled and waxed

Ready for spraying PVA and gel. Note flange masked out  on top of tank (mold inverted)

Vinyl Ester gel

Two layers of fine mat (vail) applied

At left and above, bracket that secures pump out line from back of tank to low point at front. Bracket is attached to center baffle

All tanks have been glassed in place (blocking may not be necessary)

Water tank capacity is 20.77 Imperial Gallons or 94 liters each
