In preparation for the white polyurethane coating the hull is first faired with polyester filler using a 17 inch air board sander and forty grit paper



Above, a wood  batten, covered with cello tape is used to fair the cabin/hull joint. Filler is placed between the batten and the cabin flange; when the batten is removed it leaves a crisp fair flange line.
